Botanical Drawing & Rights
These sessions offer an opportunity to learn the botany of a flower, plant or vegetable, through the careful delicacy of observation in drawing, whilst also learning their historical significance in the organisation of the social world around us.
In each of the sessions we ask:
Where do our rights come from? How has the natural world around us developed our own sense of justice? What can this particular flower, shrub or tree tell me about what it means to feel empowered and know my rights?
Inspired by Goethean science and animist understandings of law, these sessions would be wonderful for all ages and backgrounds, assisting children, young adults, adults to the elderly, to understand their rights through nature and art combined.
